am young and absent minded
My future I behold
The world, which is all around me, is too big to explore
I hear my name being called
I do as I am told
I am frightened by the dark as I
hear it scream aloud
I try to think of my favorite things as the day lies down for
dark
I think of small dogs, fuzzy hats, flower petals and pussycats
I wish to help other children
melt away their fears
I would help them as soon as mine disappear
I want to be a doctor but I might just become a talker
I would operate on a lung or I might just talk till my mouth
gets numb
However, I am still quite young and might make up my mind when I
am twenty one
My friends are very funny, we
call each other honey
We stay up very late and cry until we have a date
We make each other strong which makes us bond
Now I am older and am excited for the new change
However, am heartbroken to leave and move up a state
I am now in Atlanta and have entered AIS
What awaits me scares me, but without fear I shall go
I pass third and fourth grade learning more day by day
Gaining additional friends, I am ready to take the plunge into
fifth grade
Here I go again sailing all the way with a few currents along
the way
I land with a bump into sixth
grade
With a lump in my throat and butterflies fluttering in my
stomach
There appeared Mrs. Baillie reassuringly saying, “Please do not
worry everything will be okay.”
A smile appeared on my face as I knew she would care of each
and every one of us until we made it to the top
Many secrets under my skin still
awaiting to be revealed
The time has come to say what is needed
I have dreamt that I have been married to Winnie the Pooh
Living happily ever after in The Hundred Acre Woods
To this day I still laugh at that dream I had that very day
I am smart and unique and feel
different from everyone else
I help my friends and family in which ever way I can
Oh, how I also love shopping more than anything in the world
My mother tells me I was born to pick and choose the colors for
the world
Each day I feel special
I enjoy being who I am
I would like to thank all my
friends, family and teachers for helping me through my good
times and bad and for teaching me so many fascinating things and
ways of life. I look forward to the next step as I know there is
still more to come!
