THE 12th Sai Health Fair Sponsored by Shepherd Clinic Morrow Clayton County was held at 1st Baptist Church on Saturday September 16th 06. The Health Fair was Organized by Dr.Sujatha Reddy to Tribute 137th Birth anniversary of Gandhiji to promote Gandhiji and Dr.King’s Philosophies of Non-Violence, Community Service and Social Justice.

At the Sai Health Fair on 09/16/06 provided Services to people with an opportunity to take advantage of free basic Quality Health screening and to consult with different specialists on face to face to discuss ongoing and newly identified medical problems. Contribution to the overall success of the fair is invaluable. “Too often we hear illness that could have been prevented if it had been detected earlier”.
Over 150 plus people of diverse nationalities and cultures from all over Atlanta availed themselves for the free consultancy and tests services provided by 25 physicians representing from 14 different specialties . Ekgs 100 were done By southeran Heart specialist group –Riverdale & commerce cardiology group-commerce ,Bone Density tests 55 + Haritha & Madhu Siddagunta, glaucoma screening 30 plus done by Eye physicians & Surgeons- Decatur, 6 suspects of having Glaucoma recommended for futher Evaluation, chemistry profiles with psa 80 , Sickle cell prep , provided by MCMG- Macon ,with help of 12 nurses - four Nurses From Macom & 5 technicians, 40 dedicated Volunteers along with Ladies Axilliary Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5080 lake city. Complimentary Dinner out of Nurses on Friday by Forest, Breakfast by Pfizer, Boxed Lunches By Janssen pharmaceuticals, Accommodation for out of town nurses by Gokulkunnth, Digital Video By K.C Patel. Publicity by Local Indian Associations, Websites – Nri pulse, Atlanta Dunia, India West, India Abroad & Khabar.

The Mission of the Health Fair is to create an awareness of the importance of preventive health care to the public--early detection, Prevention & cure. Test results helped to identify few life threatening situations which were notified to participants immediately. Sai Health fair provided all people access to Quality medical Services. We are very grateful to you and the others who helped us to conduct the highly successful Sai Health Fair and look forward for your continuous support .
