Assi Plaza Duluth which brought dramatic changes in the grocery business since it opened on August 28^th held a Grand Opening Sweepstake Event over the weekend and the winners were announced. The Grand Prize of 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK ($35,000 value) went to a Bosnia native Ms. Jefinka Lulic.

The sweepstakes were part of the Grand Opening celebration which was held on Dec. 13^th in the presence of Assi’s management, various media and Korean Security Company’s Mr. Sung Man Park. Thousands of people were gathered to witness the event and take a part in its sweepstakes.

Grand Prize winner Ms. Lulic who works at the Gwinnet Count’s school system as a custodian was notified the next morning on the 14^th and came to the store with her husband. She was overwhelmed with joy and said “I have the greatest Christmas presents ever this year. One is the news from Assi Plaza about the grand prize winning, and a birth of a boy from my sister-in-law, I got these two all this morning.

The 2010 S. Africa World Cup tour package ($4000 value) went to a Vietnam native Mr. David Nguyen (Buford resident). 1 year shopping spree ($2,600 value) from Assi Plaza went to Mr. Il Pyo Hong, and Ms. Eun Sook Choi(both Duluth residents, and Korea native). Jeju sauna’s 1 year membership went to another Vietnam native Mr. Thao Nguyen from Lawrenceville.

Even though the soaking weather Assi’s parking lot was full, the sweepstake drawing event featured Indian dancing, Mexican dancing, Break dancing, Kong-Fu and Aikido demonstrations to entertain the guests. There were 12 concierges wearing 12 different nations traditional dress throughout the store to greet the customers.

According to the Assi Plaza, yesterday’s drawing event drew the most traffic since its first day of opening.

Prize winners’ will required to bring their photo ID’s to Assi Plaza Duluth’s customer service to claim the prize. Some of the prize winners will participate in photo shoots for future advertisements and public relations.
