AAHF holds post-election
meet
Sequel to the election of new office-bearers, the Asian American
Heritage Foundation (AAHF) held its Post election and Pre
Holiday Season celebrations on the evening of Thursday December
3rd 2009 at Aqua Bistro in Buckhead on Phar Road.
The gathering placed on record its deep appreciation for the
distinguished services rendered by the outgoing office bearers
and wished the new incumbents success in their endeavors to
further pursue the lofty aims of the Foundation
Ani Agnihotri, managing partner of the U.S. India Business
Research Center, has been elected chair of the Asian-American
Heritage Foundation Inc., for a two-year term beginning Jan. 1.
He is currently President and has played a key role in
propagating AAHF as a founding member. Under his leadership AAHF
wants to grow the organization and start multi-million dollar
Asia Center.

He replaces Soon Hee Paik, president and CEO of ES
Consultants Inc., a software development and systems integration
firm, who has served the past two years as chair of the
organization that promotes and upholds the culture, language and
heritage of Asian Americans living in Atlanta.
Mark Liu, a past member of the supplier diversity team of
Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., was re-elected vice chair, and
Farooq Soomro, CEO of Alt Source Exchange Inc., an outsourcing
and consulting firm, was elected the new president replacing Mr.
Agnihotri in that post.
The foundation’s holiday party was held on Dec. 3 at the Aqua
Bistro in Buckhead where Ms. Paik was honored for her service to
the foundation.
Aside from the U.S. India Business Research Center, which
promotes trade and investment between the United States and
India, Mr. Agnihotri is the founding president of the
Georgia-Indo American Chamber of Commerce and co-chair of the
Indo-Jewish Coalition and has started two film festivals in
Atlanta.
In addition to already having served as vice chair of the
foundation, Mr. Liu has been active in the U.S. Pan Asian
American Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of
Chinese-Americans in Atlanta.
Mr. Farooq served as a member of the Georgia Commission on Asian
American Affairs. He also co-founded the Pakistani American
Community of Atlanta (PAK Atlanta) and served on its board from
2000-08. He is a founding member of the foundation and has
served on its board since 2003.
AAHF is a non-profit organization, founded in 2003, to uphold
and promote the culture, language and heritage of Asian
