MAIDEN JOB FAIR OF ICC A RESOUNDING
SUCCESS
The India Center Committee of IACA, with the active support of
12 other community associations, played a lead role in
organizing a community job fair at the IACA center in Smyrna on
Sunday, April 25, 2010.
The Job Fair, an innovative concept and a first of its kind for
the Indian community in Atlanta, received tremendous response
from over 15 employers and 112 job seekers. The employers were
enthusiastic and earnest in making employment offers to few of
the candidates they found suitable. The employment offers came
from different sectors such as IT, Insurance, Financial
Services, Education and Healthcare. Many job seekers expressed
satisfaction they were able to get connected with potential
employers and also interact with other candidates. Job seekers,
who couldn’t attend the Job Fair need not be disappointed. They
can send their resumes to ICJOBFAIR@GMAIL.COM and they will
assuredly be forwarded to the suitable employers.

Spurred on by the thundering success of this maiden Job Fair,
ICC has decided to conduct similar Job Fair on a much larger
scale during the forthcoming Festival of India on Saturday,
August 14, 2010 at the Gwinnett Center. In fact, it is quite
likely that the Job fair may become an on-going virtual event!! |
