About CapVenture:
CapVenture is a unique program that educates and equips CEOs and
executives of early-stage companies for smarter and more
productive
capitalization of their businesses. Now in its 3rd year,
CapVenture
has been incredibly successful; past participants include
Centrafuse,
Global Crypto Systems, Purewire, and Solo-Health.
Technology companies that are selected for this year's
CapVenture will
be guided through extensive workshops on fund raising
preparation, an
elevator pitch exercise and review, executive summary review,
investor
communications and practice investor pitches. Participants
will also
receive weekly mentoring from Atlanta investors and
entrepreneurs.
CapVenture's series of presentations and workshops prepare
executives
for the opportunity to meet angel and venture investors and
culminates
with an Investor Forum and Celebration. After the final
event, the
top-rated CapVenture companies will also have an opportunity to
present
at the 2nd annual Venture Atlanta conference in October.
About Venture Atlanta:
Atlanta's premiere venture capital and private equity
conference. Last
year nearly 500 people gathered at the Omni Hotel to take part
in the
largest venture capital event in Georgia's history. Venture
Atlanta
attracted more than 100 VC's from top firms around the country
to hear
investment opportunities from 21 presenters. The presenters were
some
of Georgia's top emerging technology companies.
With a record number of company submissions, it's obvious that
this
conference was a long time coming and something that the area
has
needed. The Atlanta CEO Council, Metro Atlanta Chamber of
Commerce and
Technology Association of Georgia came together to collaborate
on this
event and are the event's founding partners.
Allen Moseley of Noro-Moseley Partners was the Conference Chair
and
worked tirelessly, along with a strong executive board who
included
members from H.I.G. Ventures, RBC Bank and Total Technology
Ventures to
bring a top program to conference attendees. 04
Corporation, who
presented at Venture Atlanta 2008, just secured a $15M round
from ABS
Capital Partners.
