People of diverse nationalities and cultures from all over Atlanta availed themselves of the free consultancy services provided by over 27 dedicated physicians representing 9 specialties, supported by over 15 nurses and technicians and 25 service-oriented volunteers including from GINA who attended to the various health related concerns of the people after they registered for blood tests, free EKGs, preventive Cardiology tests, free Bone Density tests to detect osteoporosis and free Consultancy in, Internal medicine, cardiology, dentistry, endocrinology, gastroenterology, podiatry,nephrology/hypertension; dermatology, psychiatry,etc.

Over 135 EKGs were carried out by Commerce Cardiology Group and by Gwinnett Heart Specialists.
Over 25 Vascular screenings were performed by Dr.Saleem Boghani. Out of these,20 were reported as abnormal.

More than 30 bone-mineral--density tests, were performed by a team of Madhusudhana Reddy and Janaki,RN; under the supervision of Dr.Sujatha Reddy. Out of these 50% were abnormal.

GINA Nurses

Over 150 cost–effective, basic quality comprehensive Chemistry profile of blood tests with Chemistry profile of blood tests such as complete blood count, sugar,kidney, liver functions, electo lytes, Lipid profile, (cholesterol, HDL,  LDL, Triglycerides,)  T SH ,   HBA1c were carried out at a nominal fee of $30. The lab work was provided by SYMED LLC in Tucker,via Quest Labs. It is noteworthy that the results of the blood work are mailed within a week with follow-up resources. The test results help to identify some life threatening results which are immediately notified to the participants.
25 audio screenings were done by Dr.Sridhar Krishnamurthy from Auburn University, Alabama.
Stroke Risk Factor Education was provided by Mini Jacobs from GINA.

Snacks, fruits and drinks were provided to all the participants by Crescent Pines Hospital ,and delicious lunch to all the doctors, technicians and volunteers was sponsored by Sangi Chetty Charitable Orgaization and provided by Swapna Restaurant..SAI Health Fair publicity and coverage was provided by Atlanta’s digital and print media, Khabar, NRIPULSE, Atlantadunia, and Rashtradarpan. Vinod Devlia, Krish Photography and Ravindra Dave helped with photography services.
GAPI President Sudha Tata,MD,commented,” It was great honor for GAPI to be associated with the SAI HEALTH FAIR on 3/26/2016 at the Global Mall. Dr. Sujatha Reddy has set high standards in conducting volunteer health fairs and this event was no exception. Dr. Reddy has coordinated very well the availability of physicians from all Medical Sub- Specialties. The health fair was well attended by participants who also had opportunity to get labs and testing done. GAPI is proud to participate in the SAI HEALTH FAIR. GINA’s President Lilly Anickat,RN,MSN,CCRN, lauded Dr.Sujatha and said,” On behalf of the Georgia Indian Nurses Association (GINA),I want to thank Dr.Sujatha Reddy for inviting us to be part of this humanitarian effort by SAI Health Fair. Remarkable contributions of the eleven GINA volunteers were very effective for the smooth flow of the health fair. Mini Jacob RN, MSN provided stroke prevention education and many attendees of the health fair took advantage of her education. It definitely helped in increasing community awareness of stroke prevention and treatment. Volunteering in community services such as SAI health fair is always an honor and blessing because of the opportunity it provides to make a difference in lives of many people in the community. The joy that each volunteer experiences at the end of the day is priceless and rewarding. Without doubt I can say that SAI Health fair on March 26th was a grant success"!
