Powerhouse Indian Delegation Speaks of the Expanding Business Ties and Impact of India on Georgia's Economy. Atlanta, Ga- Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan , third in line to the Prime Minister and President of India, and the Justice, Law, and Education Delegation were warmly welcomed by the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce at a reception and dinner held at The Four Seasons Hotel on April 3, 2009. Albeit tired of traveling to University of Georgia , wherein the esteemed delegation spoke about the growing India - Georgia connections with specific references to education and law, the gorup was keen to attend this gala dinner. The Chief Justice spoke briefly on the progress and impact the Indian community is having on the American legal system. “It is great to see our young lawyers coming to the United States and pursue a legal career,” said Balakrishnan. “The [non-resident Indians] are investing and contributing to the growth of India which sustains the close commercial relationship that India and United States have.” Co-sponsored by the IndusBar of Georgia, the evening was hosted with an abundance of southern hospitality and a great ambiance mixing two communities with a common purpose. “The level of delegation that [GIACC] is privy to host can find a way to harness mutual potential to combat the problem of legal outsourcing—a growing problem between the two countries,” said GIACC President Ritesh Desai. Many global corporations such as WiPro were represented as well as non-profit organizations such as the Atlanta Development Authority, who are among many of the businesses impacted by India’s presence in Georgia's economy.
