SamVeda MahaYajnya
Atlanta Vedic Temple on May 1, performed its yearly biggest
function of SamVeda MahaYajnya with a large gathering of
faithful devotees. This year’s goal of MahaYajnya was for the
re-generation of humanity, which guides all to live harmoniously
and peacefully and perform deeds for the wellbeing of others in
the family, society, the nation.
After the initial Vedic anthem & flag hoisting, the whole crowd
distributed around multiple (42) Hawankunds and performed
simultaneous Hawans with faith and devotion under the guidance
of three Vedic Scholar AcharyaJis – with one of them (Acharya
Ashish Darshnacharya) visiting from India. The whole complex
echoed with the recitations of Vedic Mantras & the atmosphere
filled with healthy fragrance of herb-mix Saamagri.

The AcharyaJis in their enlightening discourses reminded that
the life is precious and short and all should strive to achieve
the life’s righteous goals earlier and accept the end peacefully
and fearlessly. The Chief-guests radiated out the message that
faith and devotion in any deed leads to true success, which then
motivates further to aim for a next higher goal.
The youth group of the temple (Aary Veer Dal) awed the audience
with their recitation and explanation of selected Vedic Mantras
plus singing of Bhajans. One of them (HavishKrit) challenged all
to be Maanav (virtuous) and not Daanav (evil).
The discussion on the Cry-for-Humanity in life continued amongst
all during sumptuous lunch, which was the courtesy of devotees
from Aashiana Restaurant.
At the end, all left with a peaceful & prayerful heart – wishing
that may God bless them the stimulations, so that they may
always be on the Vedic path of humanity. |
