Shrinath Charitramrut Katha At Gujarati Samaj

Gujarati Samaj of Atlanta held a 6-day long religious discourse of The Shri Nathji Charitra Katha from June 3 to June 8, 2001. Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayashri (lovingly called as JeJe Shri by devotees) graced Vaishnavs of all ages in Atlanta area with his presence at the Sardar Patel Hall and delivered the Katha that was attended by Gujaratis of all ages and creed.

The 6-day discourse was divided into six parts – Shri Giriraj Pragatya, Shri Govardhan Lila, Nand Mahotsav, Holi Mahotsav, Raasostav and Poornahuti. Every day JeJe Shri offered the discourses about path of “Bhakti” continuously for over three hours in a very emotional, musical and lucid style and kept the attendees glued to their seats.

Born on 18th November 1986, JeJe Shri is the 18th in line of succession of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya is active from early childhood. A graduate of M.S. University of Baroda, JeJe Shri had developed a bone disease about 4 years ago. While recuperating after the surgery, JeJe Shri studied the Shrimad Bhagvad and other religious books and gained the divine knowledge. He then decided to devote full time spreading the message of Shri Nathji and Vallabhacharya.

Every day, hundreds of people were in attendance to hear the Katha. Despite the hot weather outside, everyone was closely listening to the inspirational katha. Mahaprasad was served to all the devotees at the end of Katha after the Aarti.

On the last day JeJe Shri inaugurated the Atlanta Chapter of Vallabh Youth Organization (VYO) and appointed Ketan Shah as its caretaker. This chapter’s main goal is to instill our precious Hindu customs and culture in America-born youngsters. The Global Educational Trust, which is a part of VYO gives free education to thousands of poor and needy children in India.

CDs of newly released album KRISHNA MY LOVE consisting of 9 soulful compositions, composed and sung by Pujya Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri and O MY KRISHNA consisting of several inspirational songs were made available at this event. The title song O My Krishna is sung in English by JeJe Shri!

Kudos to Ramesh Pandya (emcee of the whole event), Samir Sheth, Chatur Chhabhaya, Paresh and Kaumul Patel (sound system), Ketan & Ami Shah (the hosts for the Pujya Shri) and countless other dedicated volunteers of the Gujarati Samaj who made the Katha a huge success.
