Berkmar High School & PUJARI
A community focused collaboration
PUJARI (www.pujari.org) is a non- profit socio-cultural
organization of immigrant Bengalis from Indian subcontinent. We
engage in several voluntary activities/ community services
throughout the year and also organize cultural events that help
our next generation to hold on to South East Asian cultural.
Over the last few years PUJARI has been working closely as a
partner with Berkmar High School, here in Georgia. PUJARI
donates towards Berkmar to help support different causes in the
school to help students and the school to achieve their goals.
Recently PUJARI Board members, represented by Sonia (Sudeshna)
Nandi and Joyjit Mukherjee, met Berkmar School’s Principal, Mr.
AI Taylor and discussed various new initiatives as to how PUJARI
and Berkmar can work together and find ways to provide
assistance to the staff and students. Some of these ways include
PUJARI members volunteering to mentor students, provide
opportunities to participate in cultural experience, present/
consult during formation of school's "academic programs" etc.
PUJARI is also immensely grateful to Berkmar and the involved
Berkmar staff for granting PUJARI assistance and permission for
using your school as our preferred venue to host events.
PUJARI handed the donation for year 2014 and Mr. Taylor
sincerely appreciated that .
PUJARI is keen to take an active role in the community and is
looking forward to work more closely with Berkmar High School as
one of its objectives besides others.
