Heartfulness Green Run
Unites Community and Cause

The Heartfulness Institute of Atlanta hosted
its first-ever Heartfulness Green Run 5K Run/Walk on September 27th, 2025,
at Cauley Creek Park in Johns Creek, GA. The event served as a fundraiser to
the global initiative "Forests by Heartfulness", with 100% of the proceeds
dedicated to tree plantation and afforestation efforts worldwide. More than
3 million trees have already been planted under this initiative by this
nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization so far.

Drawing an impressive crowd of 640 participants, the atmosphere was electric
as runners, walkers, families, and community members came together in
support of a greener planet. Before the race began, participants took part
in an energizing yoga session that set a calm and focused tone for the
event.

The 5K staging area at Cauley Creek Park was buzzing with activity, thanks
to the efforts of nearly 75 dedicated Heartfulness volunteers of all ages
who managed stalls, check-in counters, hydration stations, and food tents.
In addition, Heartfulness partnered with local schools to create meaningful
volunteer opportunities for students. A total of 53 student volunteers
contributed 167 hours of service, fostering a spirit of giving back to both
the community and the environment.

Adding to the excitement, trophies were awarded to 28 runners across men's
and women's various age categories, with top finishers in each group taking
home winner's honors.

A special highlight of the event was the Heartfulness Offerings tent, which
featured books on spirituality, children's stories with values written by
the prolific Guides of this meditation tradition. Certified meditation
trainers were available throughout the event to answer questions and guide
visitors through the practice, which is offered free of charge. All the
participants took home free goodies like handbags, saplings, and
Heartfulness books.

Beyond the incredible turnout from the community, the Heartfulness Green Run
was uplifted by the generous support of local leaders and sponsors who helped
bring the event to life. Members of the Johns Creek City Council joined in
person, acknowledging the powerful role such initiatives play in nurturing both
environmental and community well-being.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the many businesses across the Atlanta
metro area who stepped forward as sponsors. Their contributions not only made
the event possible but also amplified its impact—fueling a wave of positivity,
unity, and purpose that every participant could feel. From the energizing yoga
session to the shared joy of crossing the finish line, the atmosphere was filled
with gratitude, connection, and a collective commitment to a greener future.
