By Bhuvana Sukumar

The Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam organized a mega light music and classical dance charity event on February, 19th at Meadow Creek High School.

This event showcased the strength and diversity of the Indian community and highlighted the talent and expertise of the local artists.

The goal of this event was to raise money to help rebuild lives of tsunami survivors in Tamil Nadu and the Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam successfully raised money to benefit the Tsunami survivors by organizing this event.

The event started with a prayer followed by classical dances.

The three classical dance pieces were spectacular and expressive.

Professional Bharathanatyam, Kucchupudi, and Kathak dancers exhibited their scintillating footwork as well as their colorful costume and intricate jewelry.

Followed by this was the Light Music Show which was the main focus of the event. Vocalists and instrumentalists from different backgrounds pelted out new as well as old songs from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies.

The choice of songs was excellent and kept the crowd upbeat. Fans were excited to hear their favorite songs and danced to all the fast paced numbers.

The program ended with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

The Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam would like to thank all the participants, volunteers, and businesses who supported this noble cause.
